Q2 What concerns do you have with returning to in-person participation at public meetings or participating in-person at a public meeting for the first time?
Answered: 29 Skipped: 1
# RESPONSES DATE
1 Health and safety, especially as we are approaching flu season. Does the Chambers have proper ventilation. Will Commissioners or the public be required to wear masks? 10/14/2022 11:48 AM
2 I have a higher risk of getting seriously sick if I get Covid. 10/12/2022 7:20 PM 3 No concerns 10/10/2022 5:24 PM
4 None 10/10/2022 4:01 PM
5 No concerns 10/10/2022 3:29 PM
6 Access to our conference room. There is so much construction happening around (old) City Hall. /// Some people may wear masks indoors and in-person which is fine and expected, but sometimes it may be difficult to hear what they are saying and some facial expressions may be missed.
10/10/2022 1:58 PM
7 I’ll wear a mask. But no concerns 10/10/2022 1:44 PM
8 I live with an immunocompromised family member who is at high risk for serious illness from covid.

10 None 9/30/2022 10:12 AM
11 none 9/29/2022 4:07 PM
12 May not _always_ be able to attend in-person depending on work/travel. Otherwise, none -- no health/Covid concerns.
9/29/2022 11:18 AM
13 No concern at all 9/29/2022 8:43 AM
14 My concerns are all related to my understanding of Brown Act limitations on remote attendance for commissioners. Over the past year, I have attended several H&HS meetings while traveling, including once while in Europe. Going forward, I will likely have a couple of unexcused absences a year if the Brown Act limitations on remote/hybrid attendance for commissioners are unchanged.
9/29/2022 7:32 AM
15 Commissioners should mask and test. 9/29/2022 12:07 AM 16 We are still in a pandemic. I am concerned about being in a room in close quarters with individuals I do not know, who may not be as cautions as I am regarding the pandemic. 9/28/2022 11:45 PM
17 Modest concern re:COVID transmission, but think I can address that concern adequately by wearing a mask.
9/28/2022 11:34 PM
18 It seems like an unnecessary risk. 9/28/2022 11:33 PM 19 Loss of virtual participation and horrible AV at chamber. Also loss of live-streamed study sessions.
9/28/2022 11:11 PM
20 technology interface of virtual attendees with live board 9/28/2022 7:56 PM 21 Concerned about being in close contact with others. I have managed to avoid this to date and have not had Covid (yet!)
9/28/2022 7:53 PM
22 social distancing between colleagues--might be better to use the west conference room as it has more space. ensuring adequate ventilation and distancing if a meeting draws a large 9/28/2022 7:49 PM

24 Just having a good sized meeting space with good ventilation 9/28/2022 6:31 PM 25 Ventilation and air cleaning in public buildings; since we’ve given up on actually addressing the pandemic, it will be hard to know when the situation actually merits increased caution (wastewater shows community spread is down now, but still at about the level of the Delta surge in summer 2021). I worry people will be exposed to unnecessary risk. 9/28/2022 6:27 PM
26 The time to get to the location of the meeting. Whether anyone who is attending is contagious. 9/28/2022 5:48 PM 27 Schedule conflict. Cannot be two places at once. 9/28/2022 5:37 PM 28 Learning how to operate the dais equipment, since I've never done it before. 9/28/2022 5:17 PM 29 Two considerations: 1. The pandemic is not completely over yet. There are still new cases of covid being reported. 2. The flexibility of zoom meetings has enabled more people from our community to participate in Council and Commission meetings. I'd like to see this inclusive participation continue.

Q3 What could the City do to mitigate your concerns with participating in- person?
Answered: 30 Skipped: 0
# RESPONSES DATE
1 Offer hybrid option for both members and the public 10/15/2022 3:03 AM 2 Ensure proper ventilation, air purifiers, require masks, proper cleaning of high touch surfaces, provide sanitizer, etc
10/14/2022 11:48 AM
3 Require masks. 10/12/2022 7:20 PM
4 Keep seating as socially distant as possible (for example, block off every other seat) 10/10/2022 5:24 PM 5 NA 10/10/2022 4:01 PM
6 Hand sanitizer and provide face mask if someone would prefer to wear one. 10/10/2022 3:29 PM 7 I'm sure there will be clear directions about where to park and how to access the designated meeting room. // No need to do anything to mitigate mask concerns. Chairs can ask to clarify anything that is unclear.
10/10/2022 1:58 PM
8 Nothing 10/10/2022 1:44 PM
9 Allow remote attendance 10/4/2022 10:35 PM
10 Assure that the air in the room is clean and filtered 9/30/2022 3:16 PM 11 None 9/30/2022 10:12 AM
12 additional spacing between seats 9/29/2022 4:07 PM
13 Allow hybrid attendance 9/29/2022 11:18 AM
14 No concern, so no action demanded 9/29/2022 8:43 AM
15 If possible, and by exception, allow for occasional remote/hybrid attendance by commissioners.
9/29/2022 7:32 AM
16 Facilitate #2 above 9/29/2022 12:07 AM
17 Require all participants to show proof of current vaccine including the variation available today.

Masking and social distancing is also important to me.
9/28/2022 11:45 PM
18 Good ventilation, have adequate air purifiers/filters running in room. Encourage (require if possible) commission members to be fully vaccinated and current on boosters for COVID 9/28/2022 11:34 PM
19 Have some members in person and some virtual. We could rotate. 9/28/2022 11:33 PM 20 Whomever is setting up new city hall has hybrid meetings in mind and we can try the equipment and workflow at incumbent city hall.
9/28/2022 11:11 PM
21 hold a test meeting to verify the technology is working - also, ensuring that appropriate tech support is available during meetings to address potential problems. 9/28/2022 7:56 PM
22 Increased space between participants. Excellent HEPA setup. 9/28/2022 7:53 PM 23 Requiring those not speaking to remain masked Blocking off every other chair in council chambers in a checkerboard pattern for social distancing. 9/28/2022 7:49 PM
24 Meaningful social distancing. Proper masking. Limited interaction? 9/28/2022 6:47 PM 25 See prior answer 9/28/2022 6:31 PM
26 Air cleaning and ventilation measures, prominently posted (e.g. CO2 levels). Cleanaircrew.org has recs on ventilation and air cleaning from indoor air scientists and others. FYI, I will be 9/28/2022 6:27 PM
