A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SUNNYVALE PURSUANT TO SUNNYVALE
MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 2.07.040 AMENDING THE
LIST OF PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE RECREATION AND
CITY SERVICES PROPERTIES (PARCS) TO ADD THREE
NEW PROPERTIES
WHEREAS, on July 17, 2018, City Council adopted Ordinance No. 3134-18, amending Chapter 2.07 of Title 2 (Administration and Personnel) of the Sunnyvale Municipal Code (SMC) relating to purchase, sale or lease of Real Property to establish a special process for designating and selling or leasing publicly accessible recreation and city service (“PARCS”) properties-- city-owned properties acquired, dedicated, or used at the time of adoption of the ordinance as a public park, recreational open space, library, swimming pool, community center, performing arts venue, garden, golf course or building containing city council chambers; and
WHEREAS, SMC Section 2.07.040 provides that the list of PARCS properties will be adopted and amended by resolution from time to time; and WHEREAS, since the original list of PARCS properties was approved in 2018, three new properties that meet the PARCS criteria, known as Wiser Park (APN: 205-21-002), Muwekma Park (APN: 205-22-035) and Corn Palace (APN: 213-74-059), have been added to the City’s property inventory; and
WHEREAS, prior to the public hearing on this resolution, the City completed the public noticing required by SMC section 2.07.040(b); and
W H E R E A S , t h e C i t y C o u n c i l d e s i r e s t o u p d a t e t h e P A R C S l i s t t o i n c l u d e t h e t h r e e n e w properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE THAT:
1. The list of PARCS properties subject to the requirements of Sunnyvale Municipal Code Chapter 2.07 is hereby amended to read as shown in Exhibit “A” to this resolution.
