COUNCIL DISTRICT 3
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to of California Elections Code Section (EC) 15651 of the State of California, of the following Tiebreaker relating to the general municipal election held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022:
Election Tiebreaker
On Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, the Sunnyvale City Clerk David Carnahan, in his role as the City’s Elections Official, will follow the provisions of EC 15651 to resolve the tied election for Council District 3 by lot.
When: Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.
Where: Online and Council Chambers, 607 All America Way*, Sunnyvale, Ca 94086 *Use this address for entrance to City Hall and for GIS mapping. The W. Olive Avenue entrance is closed during construction

On Dec. 27, 2022 for the election of one (1) Member of the Councilmember District No. 3 of said City for the full term of four (4) years, the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters provided the City with Revised Certification of Election Results showing a tie between the following candidates:
Murali Srinivasan | 2,814 Votes
Engineer / Entrepreneur
Justin Jun-Ren Wang | 2,814 Votes
Public Policy Manager
The Council Candidate selected by the tiebreaker will start their term on Jan. 3, 2023 along with the Councilmembers Elect Linda Sell (District 1) and Richard Mehlinger (District 5).
