CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to Government Code Subdivision 54953(e), the meeting was conducted telephonically; pursuant to state law, the City Council made the necessary findings by adopting Resolution No. 1089-21, reaffirmed on January 10, 2023.
Chair Wang called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

PRESENTATION
23-0249 PRESENTATION - Silicon Valley Reads
Librarian Karina Huerta presented on Silicon Valley Reads. Highlights included:
adult and children/teen book suggestions and various in-person and virtual events. 23-0250 PRESENTATION - Sustainability Initiatives
Librarian Julie Moore presented on sustainability initiatives. Highlights included:
-Grant for sustainable outdoor items for Library of Things (such as California State Library Parks Passes, telescopes, outdoor yard games) as well as various outdoor programs.
-Grant for sustainable indoor items for Library of Things (such as cookie cutters, cake pans, stand mixer, Cricut) as well as many indoor programs including some lead by the community.
-Earth Month Event on April 15, 2023.

23-0153 Discuss Special Meeting Dates and Approve 2023 Master Work Plan
Superintendent of Libraries, Steve Sloan, reviewed the 2023 Master Work Plan with the Board.
Chair Wang opened the public hearing, and there being no public testimony, closed the public hearing.
Motion: Board Member Ma moved and Board Member Jain seconded, approval of the 2023 Master Work Plan as presented. The motion carried by the following vote:
