On February 9, 2023, the City Selection Committee (CSC) of Santa Clara County voted to appoint Councilmember Russ Melton of Sunnyvale to Seat 07 on the Santa Clara County Airport Land Use Commission. Councilmember Melton will fulfill the rest of the term expiring May 6, 2024 which was recently vacated by Glenn Hendricks since he is no longer in office.
Since Councilmember Melton will need to vacate Seat 07A to be the primary representative on the Commission, the City Selection Committee will consider a new appointment for the alternate position at its meeting on April 13, 2023.
