On February 9, 2023, the City Selection Committee (CSC) of Santa Clara County voted to appoint Councilmember Russ Melton from the City of Sunnyvale to fulfill the remainder of the current term for the Cities member position, expiring May 2024.
Since Councilmember Melton’s appointment caused a vacancy in the alternate position, the City Selection Committee voted to appoint Mayor Mark Turner from the City of Morgan Hill to fulfill the alternate position. His term also expires May 2024.
