SUNNYVALE AMENDING THE CITY’S SALARY
RESOLUTION BY UPDATING THE PAY SCHEDULE FOR
PA
Y PL AN CATEGORY E, EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED
BY SUNNYVALE MANAGERS ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) between the City of Sunnyvale and the Sunnyvale Managers Association (“SMA”) expired on June 30, 2023; and WHEREAS, Negotiators for the City of Sunnyvale (“City”) and SMA began the meet and confer process in March 2023, and met twelve times before reaching an agreement; and WHEREAS, the City was notified by SMA that the Tentative Agreement was ratified on July 6, 2023, for a term from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2027; and WHEREAS, the terms of the new MOU make changes to certain elements of compensation including salary and salary ranges; and
WHEREAS, consistent with the terms of the new MOU, the City desires to amend the City’s salary resolution for SMA employees, effective the pay period including July 9, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE THAT:

Resolution No. 1151-22 (the City’s Salary Resolution) is hereby amended by amending the pay rates for Pay Plan Category E (Sunnyvale Managers Association) positions as set forth in Exhibit A, in the schedule of pay (salary table), attached and incorporated by reference, to implement the changes described in this resolution on the effective dates noted in Exhibit A.
All other provisions of Resolution No. 1151-22, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect.
