A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SUNNYVALE AMENDING THE CITY’S
CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND SALARY RESOLUTION TO
CHANGE THE CLASSIFICATION TITLE OF JOB
SEEKER SERVICES MANAGER (GRANT FUNDED) TO
SENIOR MANAGER OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
(GRANT FUNDED), INCREASE SALARIES FOR THE
CLASSIFICATION OF NEIGHBORHOOD
PRESERVATION SPECIALIST AND SENIOR
NEIGHBORHOOD PRESERVATION SPECIALIST AND
MAKE CORRESPONDING CHANGES IN THE SCHEUDLE
OF PAY
WHEREAS, at the request of the Office of the City Manager, Human Resources staff has proposed an amendment to the Classification Plan and the City Salary Resolution to change the classification title of Job Seeker Services Manager (Grant Funded) to Senior Manager of Workforce Development (Grant Funded) for a better representation of the responsibilities assigned to the classification, and to increase salaries for the Neighborhood Preservation Specialist and Senior Neighborhood Preservation Specialist positions.
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered such proposals and recommendations and wishes to approve the amendments to the Classification Plan and the City Salary Resolution and make corresponding changes to the City’s Salary Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE THAT:
1. The City Council hereby approves an amendment to the Classification Plan and the City Salary Resolution to change the classification title of Job Seeker Services Manager (Grant Funded) (0211) to Senior Manager of Workforce Development (Grant Funded) (0211).
2. Except as herein modified, the Classification Plan, Resolution No. 143-77, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect.
3. Resolution No. 1151-22 (the City’s Salary Resolution) is hereby amended by adding the classification titles and pay rates as set forth in Exhibit A, in the schedule of pay (salary table), attached and incorporated by reference, to implement the changes described in this resolution on the effective dates noted in Exhibit A.
4. Except as herein modified, Resolution No. 1151-22, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect.
