PUBLIC HEARINGS/GENERAL BUSINESS
2 23-0835 Recommend Council Approve Art in Private Development Project - Hunter Properties/Cityline, titled Dropping the Ball (Phase 2, Artwork 2 of 4)
Ellie Hunter, Art Consultant, provided a presentation on Dropping the Ball.
Highlights included: master plan, current artwork, artist bio and resume, site plan and maintenance.
Commissioners inquired and staff responded:
Will there be seating near the sculpture? Yes, the artwork will be placed on a planter with space for people to sit.
The planter's height of 1'8" seems too low for people to sit on, can we explore raising the height? Yes, feedback will be relayed to the designer.
Can we explore rounding the shape of the planter to resemble the sculptures theme? Yes, feedback will be relayed to the designer.
Vice Chair Filley moved and Commissioner Kauffman seconded the motion to
