Chair Syquia called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m.

Chair Syquia announced details of the current recruitment for the Board of Library Trustees.
PUBLIC HEARINGS/GENERAL BUSINESS
1 25-0202 Ranking of Proposed 2025 Study Issues
Equity, Access, and Inclusion (EAI) Manager, Fernanda Perdomo-Arciniegas provided an overview of the ranking process for Study Issues, an overview of each Study Issue and provided staff recommendations.

January 17, 2025Human Relations Commission Meeting Minutes - Draft The Commission inquired about the proposal of Study Issue OCM 24-01 and how it differs from the Community Needs Assessment (Assessment). The Commission also asked if there would be an impact on the Assessment if the Study Issue is dropped.
Staff provided an overview of what precipitated the Study Issue and the scope of the study. Staff commented that dropping Study Issue OCM 24-01 would not negatively affect the Assessment.

Commissioners provided their comments regarding dropping Study Issue OCM 24-01 and DPW 22-08. They also provided their comments regarding deferring Study Issue OCM 25-01.
MOTION: Vice Chair Ramisetty moved and Commissioner Zapata seconded the motion to drop Study Issue DPW 22-08 AND OCM 24-01.
The motion carried with the following vote:
