RE: SVRIA Representative and Alternate for Milpitas, Santa Clara, and Sunnyvale Grouping
Dear Executive Director Nickel:
On behalf of the undersigned cities, this letter presents the recommended rotation schedule for the SVRIA seat representing the cities of Milpitas, Santa Clara, and Sunnyvale. It is our intention that representatives from this three-city grouping would rotate for the next nine years (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2034) as follows:
July 1, 2025 July 1, 2028 July 1, 2031
Milpitas (Primary) Sunnyvale (Primary) Santa Clara (Primary) Sunnyvale (Alternate) Santa Clara (Alternate) Milpitas (Alternate) Our three cities agree that, from this point forward, this rotation schedule can only be changed via action by the three Mayors of these cities. Additionally, in the event that a vacancy occurs prior to completion of a representative’s term, that city would have the first opportunity to appoint a replacement that would serve the remainder of that term.
