Dear City Council Members,
On behalf of the Murphy Neighborhood Association, we are writing to formally request a modification to our previously submitted event schedule. Specifically, we would like to switch our planned "Spooktacular" event with The Local Share - Earth Day Community Swap and adjust our annual calendar to better distribute events throughout the year.
As we thoughtfully mapped out our 2026 programming, we recognized the opportunity to space our gatherings more intentionally. This approach allows for sustained engagement, broader participation across seasons, and more consistent opportunities for neighbo rs to connect.
Our proposed 2026 schedule is as follows:
• April 27 I 10:00 AM -The Local Share (Earth Day Community Swap) • June 27 I 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM - Summer Block Party
• October 3 I 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Community Dinner
• December 5 I 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM - Holiday Celebration
In addition to these larger events, we anticipate hosting a few smaller community gatherings throughout the year to continue fostering connection and neighborhood engagement.
We appreciate your consideration of this request and look forward to your guidance on next steps to formalize the updated schedule.
