ear Senator Padilla, Senator Schiff, and Congressman Khanna, O
n behalf of the City of Sunnyvale, I am writing to express my support for the City of Sunnyvale’s Expanded Recycled Water Distribution System Project.
T
his project will expand the City’s state-of-the-art recycled water distribution system by adding approximately 2,370 linear feet of new water pipelines across two sites. This expansion will connect existing dead- end lines, enable irrigation, and improve s ystem reliability for all residents. These infrastructure improvements represent a critical step in the City’s commitment to climate resilience, reducing potable water consumption, increasing drought resilience, and protecting limited drinking water suppli es. By expanding access to recycled water for irrigation and other non-potable uses, the project also supports Proposition 4 by enhancing the community’s adaptability to potential climate change impacts.
