Last year, I was nominated as the Chair of the Sustainab ility Commission, which was a role that I felt very underqualified for.
Over the past year, I have learned a lot working with the amazing city staff to fee l confident in my role as a leade r of a commission focused on providing the best information possible to the counci l.
I recently joined the board of director s of Region 44 AYSO as the Directo r of Coachi ng. Region 44 is based in Sunnyvale, where the susta inability of fields continues to be a majo r topic for fam ilies with children in sports. I hope to help bridge the gap between the argument over sustainable fields .

I am seeking reappointment to the Sustainability Commission to continue to build on the important topics and issues that are key to the sustainable future of the City of Sunnyvale. I look forward to continuing to work with my fellow commissioners to build relationships, identify priorities, and establish shared goals.
Meaningful progress in sustainability doesn't happen all at once; it requires consistency and persistence. I am eager to see many of the ideas from the commission be turned into reality. My main focus for my second term is to strengthen the community engagement in sustainability. I am excited to implement a new forum for the sustainability speaker series with the hope of increased visibility for not only sustainability but boards and commissions in general.

I am focused on keeping the commission focused, practical, and results-oriented to deliver real impacts. Reappointing me would allow our momentum to continue uninterrupted and ensure that the work we have started translates into lasting and meaningful change.
