Applicant Qualifications
What motivated you to apply for
this board or commission?
I am a current resident of Sunnyvale and plan to continue residing here the long foreseeable future. It's a beautiful place and I have a vested interest in keeping the city beautiful through sustainable methods that benefit all current and future residents.

What skills or attributes can you
bring to this board or
commission?
I have a passion and knowledge of renewable energy, come with financial background knowledge, and have worked in public agencies that both interface with the public through community advisory committee meetings and city council meetings.

I previously worked in City of San Jose in their San Jose Clean Energy department which gave me a glimpse of the issues within our energy grid and taught me the council-manage government dynamic. I currently work at Orange County Power Authority which has furthered my understanding of future clean energy procurement issues and furthered my passion for the goal of a 100% renewable energy grid.

The primary role of a board or
commission member is to provide
advice to City Council on policy
issues that are within the scope
of the board or commission. What
steps would you take to
effectively exercise this specific
board or commission role?
My first step is to always understand the underlying guideline behind the event and in this case, it would be to read the founding document for the commission and understand the goals, scope, and responsibilities of the commission and their members.

Before commission meetings, I would take time to understand the board package and raise any questions or concerns I might have.
