A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE
FIXING THE DAYS AND TIME FOR REGULAR
CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
WHEREAS, Section 608 of the Sunnyvale City Charter provides that the City Council shall hold regular meetings at least two times a month, and further provides that meeting times shall be fixed by ordinance or resolution; and
WHEREAS, on November 16, 2004, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 141-04, changing the time of regular City Council meetings of the Council from 7:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to change the starting time of City Council meetings to 6:00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE THAT:
1. Beginning January 1, 2027, regular City Council meetings shall begin at at 6:00 p.m.
Meetings will continue t o be held on at least two (2) Tuesdays each month in the City Council Chambers, Sunnyvale, California, or at other locations to which the Council may adjourn within the City.
2. The City Council may adjourn or re-adjourn any regul ar meeting to a date certain, which shall be specified in the order of adjournment, and when so adjourned, each adjourned meeting shall be a regular meeting for all purposes.
3. Resolution No. 141-04 is hereby rescinded.
