PUBLIC HEARINGS/GENERAL BUSINESS
2 26-0668 Selection of Chair and Vice Chair FY2026/27
Housing Officer, Amanda Sztoltz, reviewed the nomination and election procedures for selecting the Chair and Vice Chair in accordance with the City's Administrative Policy governing Boards and Commissions.
Commissioners asked clarifying questions regarding the responsibilities of the Chair and Vice Chair before proceeding with nominations.
Commissioner Duncan nominated Vice Chair Riviere for Chair. Vice Chair Riviere accepted the nomination. There were no additional nominations.
Recording Officer, Janelle Resuello, took a roll call vote.

Newly elected Chair Riviere thanked the Commission for its support, congratulated Vice Chair Shen, and welcomed the Commission's new members. -Staff Comments
Housing Officer, Amanda Sztoltz, made the following announcements:
- The August 2026 Housing and Human Services Commission meeting is canceled. - The November Commission meeting will be held on Monday, November 23, 2026, due to the Thanksgiving holiday week.
- A Study Session on Inclusionary Housing is scheduled for August 11, 2026, prior to Council consideration. The item is anticipated to come before the Commission in October.
- The draft Homelessness Strategy/Plan will be released for community review in early September and presented to the Commission at its September 23, 2026
