Bob Godman, Public Works Director, presented the item.

Dan Newton, City Administrator, stated that after discussions with David Teeter, there was a lot of interest in the evening markets and the additional date of August 31, 2022, may want to be listed in the resolution if adopted.

The council inquired as to whether or not it even needed to be agendized if permission is granted to staff to approve it, to which Mr. Newton stated that potential parking violations can only be enforced if the date is adopted by resolution.

Mr. Godman continued that an extention of the road closure is being requested to include South Gay Street from Main to Mill Street and requested council approval of the extention and the addition of the August 31, 2022 market.
