Special Council Meeting Minutes
MONDAY, AUGUST 21, 2023 – 9:00 AM
Mayor McCourt called the meeting to order at 9:00a.m.
Roll Call of Councilmembers Present: Quincy McCourt, Kevin Stafford, Thomas Herrera, Mendy Schuster, Russ Brown
1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: (Additions and/or Deletions)
Moved by Kevin Stafford; seconded by Thomas Herrera to approve.
Motion Carried: 5 - 0
Voting For: Quincy McCourt, Kevin Stafford, Thomas Herrera, Mendy Schuster, Russ Brown Voting Against: None
2. PUBLIC COMMENT REGARDING CLOSED SESSION ITEMS (if any): Any person may address the Council at this time upon any subject for discussion during Closed Session. No comment.
3. CLOSED SESSION:
The City Council convened in closed session at 9:01 a.m. to discuss the following:
A. PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT - pursuant to Government Code Section §54957
1. Economic Development Director
Councilmember Stafford left the meeting at 11:04 a.m.
2. RETURN TO OPEN SESSION: (recess if necessary)
The Council reconvened in open session at 11:10 a.m.
Mr. Newton stated that the Council approved the agenda as written and met in closed session to discuss the above-mentioned item. Direction was provided to staff with no reportable action taken.
3. ADJOURNMENT:
Meeting adjourned at 11:05 a.m.
