MINUTES
OCTOBER 4, 2022
The October 4, 2022, regular joint meeting of the Taft City Council/Taft Successor Agency, held in the Council Chamber at Taft City Hall, 209 East Kern Street, Taft, CA 93268, was opened by Mayor Dave Noerr at 6:00 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Noerr, followed by an invocation given by Greg Mudge.
PRESENT: Mayor Dave Noerr and Mayor Pro Tem Orchel Krier Council Members Josh Bryant and Ed Whiting
City Manager Craig Jones and City Attorney Jason Epperson City Clerk Yvette Mayfield
ABSENT: Council Member Jeff Eveland

There were none.
2. COUNCIL STATEMENTS (NON-ACTION)
Council Member Bryant talked about this being homecoming week in Taft.
Mayor Noerr mentioned it’s important to keep a pulse on world events, as they can affect our life here in the valley.

Chief of Police, Damon McMinn, reported on the department statistics for the month of September.

Recommendation – Approve payment of the bills.
9. ACCEPT BID AND APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF 2023 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 2WD PICKUP
Recommendation – Motion to accept the bid from Three-Way Chevrolet in the amount of $50,619.56 and approve purchase of the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2 WD Crew Cab Pickup.
