City of Taft Agenda Report
DATE: MARCH 21, 2023
TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS
AGENDA MATTER:

RATIFY AGREEMENT WITH WALLACE GROUP FOR REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

ASSISTANCE
SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Due to a newly adopted general order, the City is pressed to get our Sanitary Sewer Management Plan (SSMP) updated along with a Spill Emergency Response Plan for 2023.

The accompanying agreement with Wallace Group has been executed in order to get these processes moving. Wallace Group has successfully assisted the City in the past with preparation of the SSMP, therefore we reached out to move forward utilizing their services for these updates. The final plans will be complete and brought back to Council in May for adoption.

RECOMMENDED ACTION

1. Ratify the already executed agreement with Wallace Group for preparation and update of the Sanitary Sewer Management Plan (SSMP) Update and Spill Emergency Response Plan 2023; and

2. Find that the activity is not a project per the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as set forth in Section 15060(c)(3) and Section 15378 of the CEQA Guidelines.

IMPACT ON BUDGET (Y/N): Yes, sewer reserve fund
ATTACHMENT (Y/N): Agreement
