The September L5,2026, regular joint meeting ofthe Taft City Council/Taft Successor Agency, held in the Council Chamber at Taft City Hall, 209 East Kern Street Taft, CA93268,was opened by Mayor Dave Noerr at 6:00 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council Member Carlos Chavira and invocation was given by Pastor Lloyd Francis.

Council Member Waldrop stated that America is t}le greatest country in the world and don't forget to register to vote.
Council Member Chavira mentioned it was homecoming week, thanked the Westside Recreation and Park District for their activities, shared a story about bees and a quote about 9/rr.
Mayor Noerr said the Mayors Prayer Brealdast held on 9/11 went great, hopes everyone attends next year and stated that America is one nation under God.

Council Member Krier reminded the community of the election that's coming up and said America needs to come together.

Waldrop requested that we bring a future item to discuss E-Bike safety within the City and Chavira concurred. Krier requested the city to make a proclamation for Dr. Ross who is retiring and Chavira concurred.

Motion to adopt a resolution entitled RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAFT AUTHORIZING THE STREET CLOSURE FOR THE 2026 TRUNK.OR.TREAT EVENT fResolutron No. 4377-25) and find that the activity is not a project per the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as set forth in Section 15060(c)(3J and Section 15378 of the cEQA Guidelines.
