FROM: MYA ACOSTA, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST
DATE: October 7,2024
SUBJECT: Recognition of WM for Continued Support of Community Events The Community Engagement Department has witnessed first-hand on countless occasions the essential services and ongoing support WM provides not only to the City of Tehachapi and our community events, but for so many of our local organizations. We would like to highlight the local WM team who goes above and beyond to assist in enhancing community events organized by the City of Tehachapi, the Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District, the Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo Association, the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce, and many more.
WM has provided "in-Kind" sponsorships for our Hometown Christmas event, Fourth of July Festival, Green Street Get Down, and throughout the duration of our Farmers Market season.
Their in-kind sponsorship includes vital services, materials, and resources that are essential in managing safe and enjoyable community events. By providing services such as waste management, event logistics support, and supplies, WM has made significant contributions toward the success of numerous events and programs that enrich our community.
We ask that Mayor Michael Davies and the council to recognize WM for their invaluable contributions to our community.
