COMMITTEE BUSINESS
1. Status Update on Uptown Sports Park — Staff provided a status update regarding the Uptown Sports Park. Staff provided a new layout option, discussed field and parking logistics, budgeting, and the potential project timespan. Staff continue to work with Riverside County Flood Control.
2. Overview of 2024 Events — Staff provided dates and details for special events between March and December. Staff will have a printed calendar of events ready at the next council meeting.
3. Summary of Final Community Meeting on Skate Park Design — The previous community meeting held in January had unanimous support from the public, as well as positive anticipation for the completion of this project. Staff shared that the project remains in budget, has a few minor adjustments with color and shade structures to add to the design. Staff also sought feedback and approval to move forward.
4. Review Proposed Margarita Recreation Center(MRC) Marquis Sign— Staff suggested a digital marquis sign to be installed for the Margarita Recreation Center and discussed the design of the sign. This sign would face Margarita Road for the public to view as they drive by the facility.
The subcommittee was in favor of the digital sign, which remains within CIP budget of this facility.
