COMMITTEE BUSINESS
1. Recap of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) "Together We Stand 5K" and"Veterans Car Show" "
Events—John and Mag'e Hernandez of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) shared a recap of two successful co-sponsored events. The "Together We Stand 5K" event had 200 participants and the "Veterans Car Show" had over 1,000 participants. Subcommittee was supportive of continuing these events in 2026. The VFW staff and City staff will meet to start coordinating next year's events.
2. Recap of Temecula Community Services Department (TCSD) Military Programming for the Month of November — Staff shared a recap of the following events: Pinning Ceremony, Patriotic Salute to Veterans Expo, and Veterans Appreciation Breakfast. Subcommittee directed staff to look into regional event collaboration for future military and veteran programming.
