1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Chavez called the City Council Special Meeting to order at 7:06 a.m. in the City Hall Community Room located at 9701 Las Tunas Drive, Temple City.
2. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Councilmember - Chen, Man, Sternquist, Chavez
ABSENT: Councilmember -Yu
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook and Community Services and Public Safety Supervisor Amaya
Captain Meza, Deputy Bui, and Deputy Anchondo
Councilmember Man made a motion to excuse Mayor Pro Tem Yu. Seconded by Councilmember Chen.

6. COMMUNICATIONS
A. QUALITY OF LIFE
Deputy Bui provided an overview of the sex offender registrants, paroles, and probationers in the city for the month of July 2024.
Councilmember Sternquist requested staff bring back an agenda items detailing the budget usage for Law Enforcement Services during city events and patrol overtime.
City Manager Cook commented that he would bring that item to City Council during the fourth quarterly budget discussion.

PUBLIC COMMENTS -
Art Cunha, Temple City School District Superintendent, invited City Council and Deputies to Back to School Night and the Principals' monthly meeting.
Jerry Jambazian, Temple City business owner, commented on drone registration and requested an update on a School Resource Officer.
