SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 25, 2025 – 5:30 P.M.
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Chavez called the City Council Special Meeting to order at 5:48 p.m. in the Woman’s Club Hall located at 5954 Kauffman Avenue, Temple City.
2. ROLL CALL –
PRESENT: Councilmember – Chen, Man, Chavez
ABSENT: Councilmember – Sternquist, Yu
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook, City Attorney Murphy, City Clerk Kuo, Deputy City Clerk Flores, Community Development Director Reimers, Parks and Recreation Director Matsumoto.
Councilmember Chen made a motion to excuse Councilmember Sternquist and Mayor Pro Tem Yu. Seconded by Mayor Chavez.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT– None.
4. RECESS TO RECEPTION–
City Council Meeting recessed at 5:49 p.m. and resumed at 6:35 p.m.
Councilmember Sternquist arrived at 6:00 p.m. and Mayor Pro Tem Yu arrived at 6:27 p.m.
5. PRESENTATION
A. MAYOR’S STATE OF THE CITY
Mayor Chavez delivered the State of the City Address.
6. ADJOURNMENT
The City Council Special Meeting was adjourned in remembrance of the residents and businesses impacted by the Eaton Fire at 7:30 p.m.
