Carrie Halvorsen Thousand Oaks 10B Opposed Since COVID-19 less children were walking to school across Janss Road to Aspen Elementary and Redwood Middle School. My children along with others utilized the crossing guard on the corner of Marlow & Janss. As family life has continued to return to normal I notice students from Redwood crossing Janss Road regularly. My daughter no longer has her older sister to walk with and I prefer for her not to be alone so I now drive her. I believe that more students would once again walk to and from school were the crossing guard for Aspen Elementary be re-instated. The guard there was a friendly face who provided the needed safety for children crossing this busy road. I further believe that not having a crossing guard at this corner encourages parents to drive and miss out on a walk through our beautiful neighborhoods. Please maintain the guards and re-instate the one and Janss and Marlow.
Dawn Rosenberg Thousand Oaks 10B NA I would like to voice my support for keeping a crossing guard at Madrona Elementary in Thousand Oaks, California. The safety of our children, especially elementary school age should be a priority at our community. Thank you For your Sheri Margolis Thousand Oaks 10B Opposed As a parent of two daughters at CUSD for many years, l am expressing concert ver the thought of losing any crossing guards at any of the CUSD schools Crossing guards are essential in helping to keep our children safe. They also provide parents with peace of mind, knowing that if our children need to cross any intersections or driveways, they will be looked out for by our crossing guards.
We are extremely thankful for them and it is very important to have them at as Even though we are not at Colina anymore, we drive Hillcrest many times a day and we are grateful for the crossing guards who are protecting the students. lease do not remove any of the positions and if anything, please add more hank you for your consideration

I suggest the objective standards be:
1. are children present?
2. is a school nearby?
