RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF THOUSAND OAKS APPROVING 2023 UPDATE
TO TITLE VI PLAN FOR THOUSAND OAKS TRANSIT
WHEREAS, Thousand Oaks Transit is the public transit operator for the City of Thousand Oaks, providing bus, Dial-A-Ride, and Americans with Disabilities (ADA) para-transit services to residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of Thousand Oaks is required to update their adopted Title VI Plan every three years to continue to receive federal funding for transit services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Thousand Oaks adopted a Title VI Plan update in June 2018 and September 2021; and
WHEREAS, the update in 2021 was a limited update as allowed under Federal regulations due to the Covid-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, the Ventura County Transportation Commission required the City, because of the limited update, to complete a full update off-schedule and no later than June 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, a complete update was prepared and presented to City Council on May 9, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Thousand Oaks hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1. The 2023 Updated Title VI Plan is adopted as presented, and staff is authorized to implement the recommended actions as outlined in the report prepared by Moore and Associates, Inc.
