SCOPE OF WORK
Consultant shall provide services as listed under the following Tasks:
Task 1: Project Coordination & Meetings
1.1 Take the lead in coordinating all project activities, including project meetings and coordination with staff, deliverables, submissions, and similar coordination efforts consistent with the scope of work.
Task 2: Review Project Data
2.1 Review documentation provided by the City and other discipline leads of the project including preliminary review comments, Biologist Habitat Restoration Plan, assessment reports, photos, and documentation provided by outside sources.
Task 3: Planting & Irrigation Plans
3.1 Based on information gathered from Task 2, design a 20-scale planting plan for areas 1 and 3. The plan shall identify the various plants (scientific and common names), the sizes and the amount to be planted per area.
3.2 Based on the information gathered in Task 2, and the planting described in Task
3.1, design a temporary above-grade irrigation system. The irrigation system shall include above-grade irrigation application using bubbler heads to the trees and above-grade drip tubing and/or emitters to container plants installed at Site 1 and bubblers to the trees installed at Site 3 as identified in the Biologist’s Habitat Restoration Plan.
3.3 Include Installation details for the planting and irrigation elements in the plan sheets.
3.4 Provide irrigation calculations including pressure and flow calculations. The pressure critical analysis for each area shall be posted on the irrigation sheets.
3.5 Provide general planting and irrigation specifications/notes on the plans.
3.6 Provide notes on the plans to direct the Contractor to the Biologist’s Habitat Restoration Plan for planting and irrigation performance criteria. Notes on the plan shall also state that bidder must show proof of similar work (habitat restoration).

Task 4: Bid and Construction Support
4.1 Review and respond to requests for information (RFI) during the bid and the construction phases of the project.
OPTIONAL Task 5: Inclusion of Area 2 in Planting and Irrigation Plans
5.1 Site 2, the riparian area, is specified to receive cuttings rather than container stock. The Biologist’s Habitat Restoration Plan identifies this area not to receive supplemental water. However, if the City determines that supplemental irrigation is preferred, this area shall be added to the plan set. Irrigation of this area will require an overhead sprinkler application rather than the drip and bubblers used on the other areas. The water source will be a water truck. Details, specifications/notes and an OPCC will be included with the other areas.
