RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF THOUSAND OAKS DECLARING
INTENTION FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE
GENERAL PLAN 2045 INCLUDING HOUSING
ELEMENT RE-ZONING PROGRAM; MUNICIPAL
CODE AMENDMENT (AB 1397); COMPREHENSIVE
MUNICIPAL CODE UPDATE; UPDATE SPECIFIC
PLANS; AND HOUSING ELEMENT PROGRAM 8
ZONING CODE AMENDMENTS
WHEREAS, to ensure consistency with the City’s Zoning Code and General Plan, it is the intention of the Thousand Oaks City Council to consider amendments to the Municipal Code, Specific Plans, and Zoning Map to implement the General Plan 2045 and receive certification of the Housing Element; and WHEREAS, the City Council is directing staff and the Planning Commission to study and make recommendations to the City Council on the above-described updates and amendments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the initiation process for these amendments is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as the activity is exempt under CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(B)(3).
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Thousand Oaks resolves as follows:
Section 1: It is the intention of the City Council to implement the General Plan 2045 including Housing Element Re-Zoning Program, Municipal Code Amendment (AB 1397), Comprehensive Municipal Code Update; Update Specific Plans; and Housing Element Program 8 Zoning Code Amendments.

Section 2: These proposed amendments are hereby referred to staff for processing to the Planning Commission for public hearing, report, and recommendation and back to the City Council pursuant to Thousand Oaks Municipal Code.
