Managing Director/Owner
After hearing Council Member Bob Engler speak at a recent City Council meeting in October, I wanted to apply as a volunteer for the Ventura Co. Citizens Transportation Advisory Commission.

For 25 years, I have worked extensively in all forms of transportation ranging from consumer to public facing programs.

My career in transportation marketing, communications, and public programs includes automotive, public transit, extensive EV/sustainability, energy/biofuel, trucking, motorcycle, light and heavy aircraft (including aligning with busy Fixed Base Operators such as Van Nuys and more), and yacht/marine craft.

Importantly, my experience in transportation includes work with the California Governor's office, and a network that features contacts working with CalSTA. the Parks system, and so much more. I also have worked in the past with Federally- supported programs sponsored by some of the world's largest automakers.

Seventeen years ago, I founded local Westlake Village-based IBP, a transportation communications and marketing firm. I have deep roots in the Conejo Valley dating back to 1981 and love Thousand Oaks.

The goal would be to help Thousand Oaks secure Federal and State funding for important transportation programs, upgrades, and infrastructure. This is imperative given the fact our region has no Transportation-related tax.

My contact details are below. I welcome the opportunity to speak and/or meet with anyone to see how I could help the great city of Thousand Oaks.

Sincerely,
Dan Weikel
