BACKGROUND:

The Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) was established in January 1989, by state legislation. One of the standing advisory committees to VCTC is the Ventura County Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee (VCCTAC), as required under the Transportation Development Act (TDA) transit funding program.

The VCCTAC is composed of representatives appointed by VCTC, the County of Ventura, ten local cities in Ventura County, and members from social services agencies involved in transportation services and projects. Each City appoints two regular members. The committee meets at least four times annually and provides input to VCTC on transportation-related issues. The current scheduled vacancy is for one of the two regular members. The term of this position is from January 2024 to November 2025.
