3 Name City Item # In favor/ Opposed Comment
Douglas Baker Newbury Park 10B - Proposed 78-Unit FIn favor I am writing in support of Item 10B regarding the proposed 78 unit affordable housing project on 384 Erbes Road.

This development is slated to be 100% affordable
housing, satisfies the local parking requirements, and is a good example of infill development which repurposes
underutilized land already developed within the city.

Speaking as a homeowner in Newbury Park and a
member of VC YIMBY, I urge the City Council to approve
this project, find it exempt from CEQA, and agree to the requested concessions and waivers.

As a reminder, the Regional Housing Needs Allocation for Thousand Oaks is 2,621 units, including 1,229 Very Low
Income and Low Income units and we are already three
years into the current 2021-2029 cycle.
