Julie Bernard Newbury Park 12A - Ad Hoc City Council Campus Master Plan Committee - Plan Preliminary Design, Entitlement, and Environmental ServicesIn favor I became informed of this project at the information session last Tuesday. I found the idea to be well thought out, masterfully planned, and saw many benefits to our community.
First, the addition of multi family housing is desperately needed in order to attract younger families to live here. The large majority of our population is made up of senior citizens and we should open our eyes to the need of a more mixed population.
By including housing, this will help the new development to thrive, as the population it serves will be built in, in addition to all the other residents existing here in our city. It will also help the retailers in The Lakes.
The mix of service, retail, housing, and office space in this development is a wise use of existing land and space that will improve our city immensely.
