RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
THOUSAND OAKS AMENDING RESOLUTION 2023-014,
MODIFYING CULTURAL AFFAIRS USER FEE CA-18B FOR
ONLINE TICKETING SERVICES.
WHEREAS, on April 25, 2023, City Council adopted Resolution No. 2023- 014, Citywide User Fees, Fines, Penalties, Rates, And Assessments (User Fees), effective July 1, 2023, as a part of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 and FY 2024-25 Budgets; and
WHEREAS, on July 1, 2024, California State legislation Senate Bill (SB) 478 took effect, leading to the implementation of “all-in” pricing through online ticketing platforms; and
WHEREAS, implementation of the newly required ticketing procedures has led to operational impacts between Ticketmaster and the Bank of America Performing Arts Center, which have resulted in revenue reduction for the City’s Theatres Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Theatres Fund is an enterprise of the City of Thousand Oaks, dependent on revenue from various fees, and requires a modification of User Fee CA-18B, Box Office – Ticket Service Fee, to maintain revenue margins.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Thousand Oaks does resolve as follows:
Section 1. Resolution No. 2023-014 is hereby amended to replace User Fee CA-18B, Box Office – Ticket Service Fee, as follows

Section 2. No other provisions of Resolution No. 2023-014 are amended by this resolution.
