RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF THOUSAND OAKS
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2019-017
AND DISSOLVING THE ARTS AND CULTURE
ROUNDTABLE
WHEREAS, on April 23, 2019, City Council rescinded Resolution No. 2017- 030 dissolving the Cultural Affairs Commission; and
WHEREAS, City Council adopted Resolution No. 2019-017 establishing an Arts and Culture Roundtable consisting of working artists, arts educators, representatives of arts organizations, to serve in an advisory capacity; and WHEREAS, on December 5, 2023, City Council adopted a comprehensive General Plan Update which includes an Arts and Culture Element to guide future advancements within the arts and culture community; and WHEREAS, on November 19, 2024, City Council adopted Resolution 2024- 035 establishing an official Art in Public Places Policy; and WHEREAS, the Arts and Culture Element and the Art in Public Places Policy provide guidance on future advancements and prescribe a process by which feedback and input may be sought from the community, there is no longer a demonstrated need for an Arts and Culture Roundtable.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Thousand Oaks does resolve as follows:

Section 1. The Arts and Culture Roundtable is hereby dissolved.
Section 2. Resolution No. 2019-017 is hereby rescinded and superseded by this Resolution.
