Complete information can be found on the dedicated Boards and Commissions webpages on the City website (www.toaks.gov/boards).

DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:

Nineteen applications were received for the five scheduled vacancies with a term to July 2027 and one unscheduled vacancy with a term to July 2026.

Nineteen interviews were scheduled for June 16, 2025, in Conference Room A of the Grant R. Brimhall Library. Three applicants declined the interview, and one applicant did not respond to multiple emails or voicemails inviting them to participate. The interview committee consisted of Mayor Newman and Councilmember Engler. After reviewing applications and conducting interviews, the following appointments are recommended: reappoint Dorothy Hatfield and Nivedita Vaidya to serve two-year terms ending July 2027; appoint Penny Greenblatt, Patricia Lownes, and Karen Pavic-Zabinski to serve two-year terms ending July 2027; and appoint Jean Kammerer to fill an unscheduled vacancy and finish the term ending July 2026. Recommended appointment applications are attached (Attachment #1).
