Summary of duties: (?) My primary duty was managing the code compliance division, which enforced in the code loss throughout the city. Other assignments throughout that time of my career included, two years as the building official, and other assigned duties associated to the planning function of the community development department.
Since my retirement, I have become somewhat sight impaired, and have now been utilizing the city’s bus system. Although, the system provides transportation opportunities, it would be good to participate in the future as a sight impaired person for improvement.
I have a good understanding of government functions. In my career, I both participated and administered citizen committees that made recommendations to city council for law change, and other improvements. In dealing with people, I have a listening approach to really understand the communications that they are trying to convey, and utilize the skill in formulating plans and decisions.
