Dear Honorable Members, Thousand Oaks City Council,
The League of Women Voters Ventura County, as part of our civic education mission, would like to conduct a candidates' forum to be held in the Thousand Oaks City Council Chambers April 30, 2026. Several separate forums will be conducted during this event:
Assembly District 42
Ventura County Supervisor District 2
Possibly one countywide, nonpartisan race
Our tentative format is for the first forum to begin by 7:00 PM and the last forum to finish by 9:00 PM at the latest.
The event will be free and open to the public and the format will strictly follow League rules and City guidelines. The audience may submit questions on cards during each forum.
The League of Women Voters respectfully requests the City of Thousand Oaks to provide the council chambers at no charge and to underwrite the taping and broadcasting of this event on its TOTV station so that more people in the community can learn about these candidates and this very important election. We believe taping and broadcasting of the event will help the community's voters learn about each candidate.
