P-1. Transportation & Infrastructure Study – Receive presentation from Parametrix Inc. on the Transportation & Infrastructure Study and provide feedback to the consultant and staff on next steps (Department of Public Works)
Public comment was received by:
• Matt Hochstetler spoke against the consultant and believed the only real solutions to the traffic issues were to install a pedestrian overpass at Blackie’s Pasture, adding extra lanes on Tiburon Boulevard, or to ban left turns at Trestle Glen. • Matthew Hartzel spoke about Caltrans’ efforts to install bike lanes and said increasing other modes of travel is a logical and low-cost way to reduce traffic. • Patrick Siedler spoke about Caltrans’ efforts to install bike lanes and said recent installations in Mill Valley could further connect segments the two cities. • Nancy Peterson said Greenwood Beach Road is not a safe route for the number of bicycles and electric bikes that have been moving through the area and recommended the Council consider a safer approach for children biking to school. • Jeff Chanin felt it would be logical to at least consider roundabouts and pedestrian overpasses to keep cars moving.
• Greg Moore spoke about the unsafe biking conditions on Greenwood Beach Road.

The Town Council requested an action item come back on the next agenda for an update to the advisory committee.
