RESOLUTION NO. 2023 -37
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA, SETTING FORTH CERTAIN
FEES INDEXED TO THE CONSUMER PRICE INDEX
FOR URBAN WAGE EARNERS & CLERICAL WORKERS
(CPI-W) MAY TO MAY OF EACH YEAR FOR SERVICES,
PROGRAMS, AND PERMITS IN THE CITY OF TORRANCE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Torrance ("City"), at a duly noticed public hearing, approved Resolution No. 2021-67 establishing a Master Fee Schedule for the fees to be charged by various City departments for services, programs, and permits; and WHEREAS, the amount of fees charged for such services, programs, and permits should lawfully recover a substantial portion of those costs from the person making use of the services, programs and permits; and
WHEREAS, annually, the fees in the established Master Fee Schedule are adjusted by the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners & Clerical Workers (CPI-W) May to May for certain City-wide Services unless approved by a separate RESOLUTION; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Torrance does hereby resolve as follows:
The City Council hereby adopts and approves existing, adjusted, new or increased fees for specified City services and the publication of the Master Fee Schedule, as set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached and incorporated herein by this reference.
Only those fees as set forth in Exhibit A shall supersede in part or in whole to the extent of any conflict between those fees established by Resolution 2021-67. These approved fees, along with all other fees in the Master Fee Schedule, shall be adjusted annually by the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners & Clerical Workers (CPI-W) May to May. Said Master Fee Schedule is hereby directed to be made available to the public for its use for informational purposes.
