RESOLUTION NO. 2024-13
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO
EXECUTE THE LOS ANGELES REGIONAL SAFE, CLEAN
WATER PROGRAM, TRANSFER AGREEMENT WITH THE
LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Torrance ("City") is eligible to receive funding for stormwater, urban runoff pollution and water quality projects, as an Infrastructure Program Project Developer, through the Los Angeles Regional, Safe, Clean Water (SCW) Program; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 16.05.A.1. of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District Code, prior to their receipt of SCW Program funds, Infrastructure Program Project Developers must enter into an agreement with the Los Angeles County Flood Control District to transfer sew Program funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves and authorizes the Director of Public Works to execute the Los Angeles Region, Safe Clean Water Program Transfer Agreement with the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, in the form attached to this Resolution as Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this resolution and shall cause the same to be processed in the manner required by law.
