MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
OF THE TORRANCE CITY COUNCIL
1. CALL TO ORDER
The Torrance City Council convened in an adjourned regular meeting on June 11, 2024, at 3:32 p.m. in the LeRoy J. Jackson Council Chamber.
ROLL CALL
Present: Councilmembers Gerson, Kaji, Kalani, Lewis, Mattucci, Sheikh, and Mayor Chen
Absent: None.
Present: City Manager Chaparyan, City Attorney Sullivan, City Clerk Rebecca Poirier and other staff representatives Agenda item 14 was considered out of order at this time.
7. CLOSED SESSION
The City Council immediately recessed to closed session to confer with the City Manager and the City Attorney on agenda matters listed under 7 A) Conference with Labor Negotiator, 7B) Real Property -Conference with Real Property Negotiator, and ?C) Conference with Legal Counsel -Anticipated Litigation -Litigation pursuant to California Government Code §54957.6, California Government Code §54956.8, and California Government Code §54956.9(d)(2).
The City Council reconvened in public session at 5: 12 p.m . No formal action was taken on any item considered in closed session.
2. FLAG SALUTE/ INVOCATION .
The flag salute was led by Councilmember Lewis.
The non-sectarian invocation was given by Councilmember Mattucci.
3. REPORT OF CITY CLERK ON POSTING OF THE AGENDA/ MOTION TO WAIVE

5. COUNCIL COMMITTEE MEETINGS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Councilmember Sheikh announced that the Strategic Plan Committee would meet on June 12, 2024, at 4 p.m . to discuss the Strategic Plan implementation strategy.
Mayor Chen announced that the Torrance Investment Advisory Committee would meet on June 26, 2024, at 4 p.m.

MOTION: Councilmember Lewis moved to adjourn the City Council meeting at 5:13 p.m. to Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. for closed session, with regular business commencing at 6:30 p.m. in the Leroy J. Jackson Council Chamber. Councilmember Kalani seconded the motion. The motion carried by a vote of 6-0 with Councilmember Sheikh absent.
