Subject: Civil Service Commission and Human Resources - Approve Examination to Fill Finance Director Position. Expenditure: None
RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation of the Civil Service Commission and the Human Resources Director that City Council approve the examination to fill the position of Finance Director on an open basis.

DISCUSSION
There is no current eligible list for the classification of Finance Director. The current Finance Director has made the decision to resign from the position creating an immediate need to conduct an examination for Finance Director.
The class specification has been reviewed by the City Manager and appropriately reflects the position for the examination process.
Anticipating approval by the Civil Service Commission at their meeting on November 18, 2024, the proposed examination ordering for Finance Director (Attachment 1) is submitted for your approval. The Human Resources Director’s recommendation is to conduct the examination on an open basis.
A supplemental will be submitted to confirm approval of the examination ordering by the Civil Service Commission.
