DISCUSSION
Each year, the City Council authorizes a delegation trip to Sacramento, California, inviting City staff and selected Councilmembers to engage with elected officials and State agencies. The primary focus is to advance City priority projects, seeking grant funding or state appropriations, and addressing key issues unique to our community. Recently, the City Council endorsed five (5) priority projects for the Federal delegation, aligning with our efforts to advocate for these projects at the state level.
Staff recommends that the State Legislative Advocacy Committee provide staff direction on the delegation trip to Sacramento, California, scheduled for April 28-30. This trip aims to further our advocacy efforts and strengthen collaboration with State officials to address critical issues affecting our community.
