RESOLUTION NO. 2025-14
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TORRANCE HONORING
Anthony Valenzuela
UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE CITY
AFTER FORTY YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Anthony Valenzuela began his career with the City of Torrance on June 11, 1984 as a Custodian in the General Services Department; and
WHEREAS, Anthony transferred to the Streetscape Division on February 9, 1989 as a Maintenance Worker; and
WHEREAS, Anthony transferred to the Traffic and Lighting Sub-Division on May 9, 1999 as a Maintenance Worker where he was able to quickly improve his skills and knowledge of roadway markings, traffic painting and street sign installation, and
WHEREAS, Anthony was promoted to the position of Traffic Painter on July 14, 2002; and
WHEREAS, Anthony throughout his career has worked tirelessly providing the highest level of service. Anthony has received numerous letters of commendation from the public, as well as other departments for his quick response, professional attitude, and job well done for the services he provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Torrance, California, does hereby commend, honor, and congratulate
Anthony Valenzuela
for his dedication, professionalism, and contributions to the City of Torrance while in our employ; and, be it further resolved, that Anthony be wished a full and rewarding life in his retirement years.
