RESOLUTION NO. 2025-15
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TORRANCE HONORING
Steven Frame
UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE CITY
AFTER 25 YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Steve Frame joined the Torrance Public Library in 1999 as a Reference and Audiovisual Librarian, quickly earning praise for his professional expertise, technical skills, and public service presence and working as a branch library manager during his tenure; and
WHEREAS, Steve managed technological transitions and major projects including writing a grant to the Friends of the Library for a DVD repair machine to save the library money and bring significant enhancements to access and services for the Torrance community; and
WHEREAS, Steve created and hosted numerous public programs, including a thriving and popular monthly mystery book discussion group, and numerous speakers, shows, and demonstrations to enlighten and entertain library patrons; and
WHEREAS, Steve shared hundreds of books with his colleagues and patrons, spreading the love of reading and the power of the library through book reviews, displays, lists and endless personal recommendations from his wealth of knowledge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Torrance, California, does hereby commend, honor, and congratulate
Steven Frame
for his dedication, professionalism, and contributions to the City of Torrance while in our employ; and, be it further resolved, that Steve be wished a full and rewarding life in his retirement years.
