Second and Final Reading of ORDINANCE NO. 3947 amending the Torrance Municipal Code (TMC) to Repeal Section 8 of Article 1 of Chapter 3 of Division 4.

At the regular meeting of the City Council held on April 22, 2025, this Ordinance was discussed, introduced, and approved for its first reading by the following roll call vote:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA REPEALING SECTION 8 OF
ARTICLE 1 OF CHAPTER 3 OF DIVISION 4 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE IN ITS ENTIRETY
The City Council of the City of Torrance does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1
That Section 8 of Article 1 of Chapter 3 of Division 4 is hereby repealed in its entirety.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED , that the City Council of the City of Torrance INTRODUCED and APPROVED this 22nd day of April 2025.
ADOPTED and PASSED this 6th day of May 2025.

SUMMARY
On May 6, 2025, the City Council of the City of Torrance adopted Ordinance No. 3947, relating to the repeal of section 43.1.8 of the Torrance Municipal Code in its entirety regarding Dumping of Refuse as State Penal Code 374.3 provides more stringent penalties related to illegal dumping. 3 ATTACHMENT 2
