The Western Museum of Flight (WMOF) is a non -profit educational institution dedicated to preserving and displaying aircraft history and artifacts of Southern California's aviation heritage.

The museum offers an inside look at completed and in-progress aircraft restoration projects, and includes unique and prototype aircraft, target drones, piston and jet aircraft engines, aircraft components, aircraft ejection seats, World War II instruments, airc rew accessories, and an extensive model aircraft collection. Additionally, the museum provides educational progr ams to give children an opportunity to see and touch the airplanes that made aviation history.

On June 12, 202 5, the Western Museum of Flight submitted a special event request to the Torrance Municipal Airport, requesting to host a South Bay Beer & Wine Festival at the Western Museum of Flight on September 27 th, 2025. The festival is a community -focused event that intends to provide expanded exposure to the museum, Torrance Airport and cross-promote with local businesses. The festival will provide opportunities to partner with and highlight the local brewing industry, attracting a diverse, multigenerational audience while contributing to the craft beer culture that defines Torrance as a hub of Southern California’s brewing scene. The museum will be open during the event to patrons that purchase entry tickets to the festival, welcoming both 1 City Council
